The Arabian Scientific Information Company (Shua'a Group), Cairo, Egypt

Aug. 2006 - Current:

Cairo Branch Manager:

  • Managing the main office in Cairo, Egypt, with 25 employees
  • Following up on and assessing the performance of other offices in Dubai, Riyadh, Jeddah, Amman, Kuwait, Damascus, Benghazi, Sana'a, and Alexandria
  • Fixing the commission system with agents and differentiating between publications and training
  • Updating the agency contract to overcome previous mistakes and avoid common misunderstandings
  • Facilitating the weekly editors meetings and join the selection of publication materials
  • Designing a system that suggest setting up sales targets on monthly basis based on previous performance and current marketing activities

Jun. 2004 - Aug. 2006:

Senior System Analyst:

  • Developed and documented detailed requirements for the company's new website with its components (CRM, customers interface, products management interface, products search engine, and the shopping cart).
  • Analyzed functional requirements to identify information, procedures and decision flows.
  • Evaluated existing company procedures, identified and documented database content structure, and developed data dictionary for the company's customers and products.
  • Managing the collection of customers' database from seven different branches.
  • Developed the ERD of the CRM.
  • Designed and documented the different interfaces of the system.
  • Designed the company's encyclopedia for intranets, which includes all company's products and is supported by a powerful search engine.
  • Designed and implemented a complex excel sheet to calculate the shipment cost per subscription for each of the company's different branches on monthly basis.
  • Restructured the commission system for the sales department to assure maximum profit for the company and maintain the motivation element of the sales team.
